Registrations are now open for the 2026 Australian Cruise Association (ACA) Conference and Annual General Meeting, with a strong line-up of international cruise executives confirmed for the Brisbane event.
The conference will take place from 2–4 September 2026 under the theme “Building Value Beyond the Berth”, bringing together cruise industry leaders, destinations, ports and tourism stakeholders from across Australia and beyond.
Global cruise leaders to headline program
Leading the keynote program are:
- Luis Ajamil, Chief Executive Officer, Bermello Ajamil
- Carole Biencourt, Vice President Onboard Revenue, Holland America Line and Seabourn
- Charles “Bud” Darr, Chief Executive Officer, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)
- Stefano Torresi, Director of Port Operations, Viking Cruises
The speakers will share insights into global deployment strategies, regional planning and the future evolution of cruise itineraries.
ACA Chief Executive Officer Jill Abel said Brisbane provides an ideal setting for discussions about the future of cruising in Australia.
“The theme ‘Building Value Beyond the Berth’ reflects the industry’s increasing focus on long-term economic, social and community value, and the important role cruise plays in supporting destinations, tourism operators and local businesses across the country,” Abel said.
Showcasing Brisbane and Queensland
The conference will begin on 2 September with networking tours highlighting Brisbane’s cruise and tourism infrastructure, including the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, Howard Smith Wharves and a range of food, beverage and tourism experiences.
Conference sessions on 3 September will feature industry updates, keynote presentations and panel discussions covering regional development, innovation and emerging cruise trends. The event will conclude on 4 September with the ACA AGM.
Tourism and Events Queensland Chief Executive Officer Craig Davidson said hosting the conference provides an important opportunity to showcase Brisbane and Queensland to key cruise decision-makers.

The event is supported by Tourism and Events Queensland, Brisbane Economic Development Agency and Port of Brisbane, alongside sponsors including Bermello Ajamil, Bob Wood Cruise Group, CLIA Australasia, Hughes Chauffeur Services, Port of Townsville, Select Fresh Providores and Viking Cruises.
