Aqua Expeditions has announced a suite of new Aqua Mekong experiences, including new itineraries, an exclusive expert-led expedition and seasonal offers across 2026, 2027 and 2028 sailings.
Sailing through Cambodia and Vietnam, Aqua Mekong offers immersive river expeditions along the Mekong River, with expert-led excursions designed to showcase the region’s cultural heritage, wildlife and landscapes. Year-round itineraries operate between Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, supported by a one-to-one guest-to-crew ratio, personalised service and regionally inspired cuisine.
During the low-water season, Aqua Mekong remains the only luxury Mekong River cruise offering complimentary flight extensions to Siem Reap, providing streamlined access to Angkor Wat and surrounding temple complexes.
New Aqua Mekong itineraries
Aqua Expeditions has introduced new low-water itineraries exploring lesser-visited regions of Cambodia, offering deeper cultural and environmental immersion.
From 2026, Kratie itineraries will operate as four- and seven-night sailings during July and August, exploring the Upper Mekong region. Highlights include visits to the Kampi River, home to the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin, Koh Trong Island, and Kampong Cham, alongside guided cycling, hikes and visits to Angkorian-era temples.
From 2027, Phat Sandai itineraries will launch as three-, four- and seven-night sailings between December and February, focusing on the Tonlé Sap region. Experiences include visits to the floating village of Phat Sandai, kayaking through waterways, guided hikes overlooking Tonlé Sap Lake and cycling through biodiverse rural landscapes.
Explorer-led expedition
In partnership with The Explorers Club, Aqua Expeditions will offer a one-off expert-led expedition to the Mekong Delta, hosted by geothermal scientist and conservationist Andrés Ruzo.
The Vietnam & Cambodia Expedition will operate from 16 to 23 April 2027, sailing from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh aboard Aqua Mekong, with guests gaining insight from Ruzo’s research and conservation work throughout the journey.
Seasonal offers and extended sailings
Aqua Expeditions is offering early bird savings of up to 30 per cent on select Aqua Mekong suites for bookings made by 31 March 2026 on eligible 2026, 2027 and 2028 departures, excluding festive season sailings. A solo traveller offer waiving the single supplement is also available on select 2026 and 2027 departures, subject to conditions.
Aqua Mekong itineraries may be booked as three- or four-night sailings or combined into a continuous seven-night expedition, with a five per cent saving available for guests booking the full seven-night journey.
