Atlas Ocean Voyages has revealed details of its longest voyage to date, with the new 128-night Grand Odyssey Expedition set to sail from Japan to South Africa aboard the new Atlas Adventurer in 2028.
Epic inaugural voyage spans two continents
Departing Kobe on 30 November 2028, the voyage will visit 87 ports across 19 countries throughout Asia, Africa and the Indian Ocean, offering guests the opportunity to be among the first to sail aboard Atlas Adventurer following its launch earlier that month.
Highlights include overnight stays in 20 ports, a lunar eclipse over Singapore, Christmas and New Year celebrations onboard, and the chance to experience an African wildlife safari in search of the “Big Five”.
New luxury expedition sailing yacht
Atlas Adventurer will be the world’s first luxury expedition sailing yacht, accommodating up to 400 guests in all-suite accommodation.
The 210-metre vessel will feature three carbon masts, electric-hybrid propulsion, dual-fuel engines and one of the largest marine battery systems of its kind. Onboard amenities will include seven dining venues, five lounges, an expanded wellness centre, a marina platform and purpose-built expedition facilities.
Launch offer includes flight credit
Cruise Traveller, Atlas Ocean Voyages’ Australian representative, is offering a US$9,000 flight credit per couple, two pre-cruise hotel nights in Japan and a range of onboard inclusions for bookings made by 30 September 2026.
Fares for the inaugural Grand Odyssey Expedition start from US$74,207 per person, twin share, in a Panorama Ocean Suite.
