Azamara expands onboard wellness with THESANCTUM upgrades

Azamara Cruises is enhancing its onboard wellness offering through a major expansion of THESANCTUM spa, introducing new treatment spaces, advanced wellness services and an upgraded retail experience across its fleet.

The enhancements are being delivered in partnership with global wellness provider OneSpaWorld and will be rolled out as each of Azamara’s four ships undergoes scheduled dry dock as part of the cruise line’s Azamara Forward fleet enhancement program.

Expanded spa facilities

The first upgrades will debut aboard Azamara Pursuit from 18 August 2026, followed by Azamara Quest on 25 November 2026, with further installations continuing throughout 2027.

The expanded THESANCTUM spa will include two additional treatment rooms on each ship, featuring a dedicated couples’ treatment suite and an extra single treatment room to increase appointment availability and enhance the personalised spa experience.

“THESANCTUM has always been about creating a deeply personalised and restorative wellness journey at sea, and these enhancements allow us to elevate that vision even further,” said Martha Brabham, Vice President, Design & Revitalisation at Azamara Cruises.

New wellness retail space

Guests will also discover a new retail area at the entrance to THESANCTUM, showcasing premium wellness and beauty brands including ELEMIS, Kérastase, JOU Chinese Herbs and Good Feet.

The dedicated space has been designed to extend the onboard wellness experience by allowing guests to continue their self-care routines beyond the treatment room.

Advanced wellness services introduced

As part of the redevelopment, Azamara will introduce Medi-Spa and intravenous (IV) wellness therapies across the fleet.

New treatments will include Thermage skin tightening, Restylane dermal fillers, Dysport wrinkle treatments and microneedling, delivered by licensed medical professionals.

Guests will also have access to a range of medically supervised IV therapies, including NAD+ longevity infusions and vitamin-based wellness treatments designed to support hydration, recovery and overall wellbeing.

Long-standing partnership continues

OneSpaWorld and Azamara Cruises have worked together for almost 20 years, with both companies describing the latest investment as a reflection of growing demand for personalised wellness experiences at sea.

“OneSpaWorld has been a trusted partner to Azamara for almost 20 years, and together we have continually challenged ourselves to elevate the onboard wellness experience,” said Claudio Sammartano, Head of Onboard Revenue at Azamara Cruises.

“These enhancements reflect our shared vision of combining innovation, personalisation and world-class service to create differentiated experiences that resonate with today’s luxury travellers.”
