Azamara goes beyond the shore in 2027

Azamara Cruises has unveiled its 2027 Overland Experiences collection, giving guests the opportunity to travel deeper into destinations through curated multi-day land journeys.

The new collection features 18 experiences across seven countries, designed to complement selected cruise itineraries and give travellers access to cultural landmarks, natural wonders and immersive local encounters beyond the port.

Seamless land journeys from sea

Azamara’s Overland Experiences allow guests to temporarily leave their cruise for a multi-day land adventure before rejoining the ship at a later port.

Each experience is fully coordinated by Azamara and includes premium accommodation, transport, guided touring and selected meals. Flights are also included where required.

Azamara Cruises Director of Land Product Development Shandra Stoeterau said the new collection reflects the brand’s focus on deeper destination discovery.

“The Overland Experiences for 2027 invite our guests to venture beyond the port through extraordinary cultural encounters, historic discoveries, and awe-inspiring natural wonders,” Stoeterau said.

Featured 2027 experiences

Among the new collection is the Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow Escape in French Polynesia, available on the 18-night Pacific Islands Cruise to Oahu, Kauai and Bora Bora departing 5 January 2027. The three-day experience includes a stay at Hotel Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts.

In Asia, guests can join the Majestic Laos & Vibrant Hanoi experience on the 19-night Southeast Asia Cruise to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong departing 14 March 2027. The five-day journey explores Vientiane, Luang Prabang and Hanoi.

Also featured is Shanghai, Xi’an & Beijing, available on the 14-night East Asia Cruise to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing departing 2 April 2027. Guests will visit major landmarks including the Terracotta Warriors, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.

Deeper destination immersion

The 2027 Overland Experiences build on Azamara’s Destination Immersion positioning, combining small-ship cruising with expertly crafted land programs.

The cruise line said the collection is designed for travellers seeking more time and depth in destinations, without compromising comfort or convenience.

Availability is limited and early booking is encouraged.
