CLIA expands October webinar program to almost 40 sessions

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) will run its biggest-ever program of Cruise Month webinars for travel advisor members throughout October, with almost 40 individual sessions across four weekly themes.

The themes run Ocean Cruising from 4 to 10 October, River Cruising from 11 to 17 October, Expedition Cruising from 18 to 24 October, and Luxury Cruising from 25 to 31 October.

Webinars are available exclusively to CLIA members, running each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with session times at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm AEDT (12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm NZDT). Each session is presented by a different CLIA cruise line, covering new ships, itineraries, sales tips and product knowledge.

Joel Katz, CLIA managing director in Australasia, said the expanded program built on last year’s series.

“Our Cruise Month webinar program is designed to give travel agents the insight they need to engage their clients and inspire them to select their next cruise. Cruise Month is an opportunity to create a buzz around cruising and the summer sailing season, so the webinar program is a great way to gain up-to-date product knowledge and inspiration to share with clients,” Katz said.

Campaign extends to consumer promotion under #LoveCruise

This year’s Cruise Month campaign will run under the banner #LoveCruise, including social media activity, digital advertising and other promotional initiatives directing consumers to their local CLIA travel consultant.

The full webinar schedule and participating cruise lines are available through CLIA’s Cruise Month page and the CLIA Member Hub.
