Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has wrapped up its largest-ever CLIA LIVE seminar series after bringing together hundreds of travel advisors across Australia and New Zealand.
Gold Coast event closes biggest program yet

The final stop of the 2026 CLIA LIVE tour took place this week at QT Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, concluding an eight-city training series held throughout March, April and May.
The program connected with travel trade professionals in Christchurch, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Gold Coast.
Around 800 tickets were booked across the series, making it the largest CLIA LIVE program ever staged in Australasia.
Cruise line participation reaches new high
Approximately 40 cruise lines participated in this year’s seminars, delivering product updates, destination insights and brand training for travel advisors.
The 2026 theme, “Find the Perfect Cruise Match: Discover the Personality Behind Every Brand”, focused on helping agents better understand the differences between cruise products and guest profiles.
Sessions covered sectors including Ultra-luxury cruising along with expedition, river and family cruising and adventure travel.
Advisors show strong demand for cruise education
CLIA Australasia Director of Membership and Events Marita Nosic said the rapid sell-out of the seminars highlighted ongoing enthusiasm for cruise training.
“This year’s CLIA LIVE sold out very quickly and showed again that Australian and New Zealand travel agents have a real passion for knowledge on cruising,” Nosic said.
“These events have become incredibly popular, and they help consultants better understand the distinct character and appeal of each cruise brand.”
Program supports all experience levels
CLIA said the seminars were designed for both new-to-cruise advisors and experienced cruise specialists seeking updated product knowledge and industry insights.
The organisation confirmed details of the 2027 CLIA LIVE program will be announced later this year.
