Bringing the Heroic Age to life

Jonathan Shackleton has completed 44 Antarctic expeditions as a historian, guide, photographer and Zodiac driver, becoming one of the leading storytellers of the continent’s rich exploration history.

During the voyage, he will present a series of lectures and informal discussions covering the Heroic Age of Antarctic exploration, polar literature, natural history and the leadership legacy of Sir Ernest Shackleton.

The 2027 expedition will also mark Jonathan’s 15th visit to South Georgia, where his famous cousin is buried at Grytviken.
