Margaritaville at Sea launches advisor certification program

Margaritaville at Sea has introduced a self-paced certification program for travel advisors, offering completion in under 90 minutes along with booking incentives and familiarisation trip access.

The Certified Margaritaville at Sea Travel Advisor program is open to registered travel partners worldwide and covers four training modules. Graduates receive a personalised certificate and a certification logo for use in email signatures, websites and social media.

Commission bonuses and group incentives

Certified advisors earn US$50 in bonus commission on new FIT bookings made within two weeks of certification. The first 50 advisors to complete the program receive an additional US$25 bonus on their first FIT booking, for a combined incentive of US$75.

Certified advisors also earn two additional GAP points on groups booked within one month of certification, along with access to advisor-rate and familiarisation sailings, invitation-only FAM trips, Seminars at Sea and select regional events.

Ron Gulaskey, senior vice president of sales at Margaritaville at Sea, said the program was intended to build advisor confidence in selling the brand.

“When advisors feel confident in their knowledge of our brand and in selling it, they’re able to create more seamless, personalised experiences for their clients while growing their own businesses,” Gulaskey said.

Fleet context

Margaritaville at Sea operates three ships. Beachcomber, the line’s newest flagship, begins sailing in 2027 with four- to eight-night Caribbean itineraries from PortMiami. Islander sails four- to 10-night voyages from Port Tampa Bay to Mexico and the Western Caribbean, while Paradise operates three- to five-night sailings from Palm Beach to the Bahamas and Key West.

Registered advisors can begin the program immediately. Advisors not yet registered with the line can sign up before accessing the training.
