Meg Murgatroyd joins Heritage Expeditions as Sales Director Americas

Heritage Expeditions has appointed expedition travel veteran Meg Murgatroyd as its new Sales Director Americas, reinforcing the company’s commitment to growing its presence across Canada and the United States.

New role to drive growth

The newly created position comes as the family-owned expedition cruise operator prepares for the maiden season of its new 130-guest expedition ship, Heritage Discoverer.

Based in Toronto, Murgatroyd will lead Heritage Expeditions’ sales strategy, travel advisor engagement and trade partnerships across North America.

Heritage Expeditions Commercial Director Aaron Russ said Murgatroyd brings more than 25 years of travel industry leadership and is widely respected for building strong trade partnerships and delivering sustainable commercial growth.

“Meg is one of the most respected sales leaders in the North American expedition travel trade, and we are delighted to welcome her to the Heritage Expeditions family,” Russ said.

Returning to expedition cruising

Murgatroyd said joining Heritage Expeditions marked “a return to my expedition cruising roots”.

She said the company’s conservation-led philosophy and more than 40 years of authentic expedition cruising made it an exciting time to join the business, particularly with the arrival of Heritage Discoverer and its expanding global programme.

Murgatroyd added she looked forward to working with travel advisors and trade partners to introduce more North American travellers to the Heritage Expeditions experience.
