MSC Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska season, with MSC Poesia returning to Seattle for a third consecutive year of sailings to the Last Frontier.
The 2028 program will operate from 24 April to 18 September 2028, offering weekly seven-night itineraries showcasing Alaska’s glaciers, wildlife and coastal communities.
Refurbished ship returns to Alaska
MSC Poesia will sail the 2028 season following a major refurbishment that introduced the line’s signature MSC Yacht Club, featuring 69 suites, 24-hour butler and concierge service, a private restaurant, lounge and sundeck.
The ship has also gained two new speciality dining venues – Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar – along with upgrades to the MSC Aurea Spa, Technogym-powered fitness centre and the Top 15 Exclusive Solarium.
MSC Cruises Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, Katrina McAlpine, said strong demand had driven the expansion of the Alaska program.
“Alaska has quickly become one of our most popular destinations, and opening sales for a third season reflects the strong demand we’ve seen since launching there this year,” McAlpine said.
Glacier and wildlife encounters
The seven-night itineraries include calls to Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau and Victoria in British Columbia, as well as scenic cruising through Tracy Arm to view the Sawyer Glaciers.
Guests can also look forward to opportunities to spot whales, orcas, bald eagles, bears, otters and harbour seals while cruising Alaska’s Inside Passage.
Between Alaska deployments, MSC Poesia will also operate MSC Grand Voyages through the Panama Canal between Miami and Seattle.
