MTA advisor rewarded after client wins Viking cruise

An MTA Travel advisor has received a A$1,000 Rewards by Viking bonus after one of her clients won a complimentary Viking cruise during the cruise line’s Virtual Explorer Session program.

The prize highlights Viking’s ongoing initiative to reward both travel advisors and their clients for participating in its online destination presentations.

Client wins A$10,000 companion fare

Kendall Roberts, a Platinum Elite Travel Advisor with MTA Travel, invited her client David to attend Viking’s Alaska & The Inside Passage Virtual Explorer Session.

Following the presentation, David was randomly selected as the major prize winner, receiving a complimentary companion cruise fare valued at up to A$10,000.

As the referring advisor, Roberts also received A$1,000 in Rewards by Viking points, in addition to the standard incentive awarded when clients attend a Virtual Explorer Session.

Advisors encouraged to invite clients

Roberts said the webinars have become a valuable way to engage clients while expanding her own product knowledge.

“To share the Virtual Explorer Sessions with my clients and give them a direct insight into my role as their travel advisor was something fresh and encouraging,” she said.

“Most importantly for me, participating in the webinars helps enhance my product and destination knowledge. Having the opportunity to win a Viking cruise was a fantastic incentive to attend.”

She said sharing the excitement with her client after the prize draw made the experience especially rewarding.

More prize opportunities ahead

Viking’s next Virtual Explorer Session, France’s Finest, will be held on 16 July, with attendees in the running to win a complimentary companion fare valued at up to A$12,000.

Advisors whose clients win the major prize will also receive A$1,000 in Rewards by Viking points.

Further Virtual Explorer Sessions scheduled for later this year include:

  • Viking Homelands – 20 August, with a companion fare valued at up to A$15,000.
  • Capitals of Eastern Europe – 24 September, with a companion fare valued at up to A$11,000.
