Norwegian Cruise Line has released reduced fares on selected South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia sailings ahead of Norwegian Spirit’s return to Sydney, with the countdown now at 100 days. Fares start from $115 per person per day on selected sailings, correct as at 25 August 2026 and subject to availability.
Norwegian Spirit’s upcoming season will be the line’s longest and most extensive Australia and New Zealand deployment to date, featuring five Sydney round-trip voyages.
First Tassie Taster sailings introduced
Among the season’s highlights are NCL’s first Tassie Taster sailings, two four-day round trips from Sydney departing 6 and 21 January 2027, with calls to Hobart. NCL is positioning the format as a shorter entry point into cruising, suited to a long weekend rather than a longer commitment.

11-day Wine Country, round trip from Sydney calling at Melbourne, Adelaide and Tasmania, departing 12 December 2026, from $1,502 per person.
11-day Australia and New Zealand, Sydney to Auckland, departing 16 February 2027, from $2,493 per person.
11-day Australian Wine Country, round trip from Sydney, departing 10 January 2027, from $1,899 per person.
4-day Tassie Taster, round trip from Sydney, departing 6 and 21 January 2027, from $1,053 per person.
12-day South Pacific, Honolulu to Papeete, departing 5 November 2026, from $1,470 per person.
All fares are per person and subject to availability.
Adults-only experience onboard
Norwegian Spirit operates an adults-only onboard experience for this deployment, with 14 dining options, nine bars and lounges, the Mandara Spa and live entertainment. Gratuities are included in the fare.
Ben Angell, managing director Asia-Pacific for Norwegian Cruise Line, said the season was designed around shorter-haul demand from Australian travellers. “Australian travellers are increasingly looking for holidays that deliver a genuine sense of escape without the time, cost and complexity of long-haul travel,” Angell said.
