Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has completed extensive refurbishments of Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, introducing popular guest experiences across both ships ahead of their upcoming Alaska, Europe and Asia seasons.
The upgrades include new adults-only relaxation areas, expanded wellness facilities and enhanced onboard amenities, bringing the two vessels into line with many of the premium features available across the wider NCL fleet.
Ben Angell, Managing Director Asia-Pacific for Norwegian Cruise Line, said the refurbishments reflected the cruise line’s commitment to listening to guest feedback and continually enhancing the onboard experience.
“Listening to our guests and delivering exceptional experiences across our fleet is at the heart of what we do,” Angell said.
Wellness and relaxation take centre stage
Both Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem now feature redesigned Mandara Spa Thermal Suites with significantly expanded wellness facilities, including charcoal saunas, salt rooms, ice rooms, IV lounges, four-senses loungers and three times more heated loungers than previously available.
Norwegian Jade has also gained experiential showers and a new plunge pool, while Norwegian Gem now offers an upgraded Thalassotherapy pool and hot tub.
Guests looking for an exclusive outdoor retreat can enjoy the new adults-only Vibe Beach Club on both ships, featuring private cabanas, premium loungers, whirlpools and a dedicated bar. Norwegian Jade has also welcomed a licensed Starbucks, expanding NCL’s partnership with the global coffee brand across its fleet.
New deployments across three regions
Following her Alaska season, Norwegian Jade will return to Asia for the first time in seven years, sailing itineraries from Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Incheon (Seoul). The season includes inaugural visits to ports in Brunei, Taiwan and the Philippines, alongside destinations such as Mount Fuji, Ko Samui and Ha Long Bay.
Meanwhile, Norwegian Gem will continue operating seven-day Mediterranean and Greek Isles voyages, calling at destinations including Cannes, Florence, Dubrovnik, Split and the Greek Islands.
The latest refurbishments are part of NCL’s ongoing investment in modernising its fleet while delivering consistent guest experiences across its global deployment.
