Oceania Cruises is expanding its global ambitions, launching two new 180-day Around the World voyages for 2028 and 2029 aboard its newest ship, Oceania Aurelia.
New ship to debut with epic global journeys
Set to enter service in late 2027, Oceania Aurelia will headline the luxury cruise line’s newest world cruise program, marking the first time Oceania Cruises has released two world cruises simultaneously.
Reservations open on 13 May 2026, with itineraries now available for preview online.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, described the launch as a milestone for the brand.
“We are thrilled to welcome Oceania Aurelia, The Ultimate Explorer, to the fleet next year,” Montague said.
“These incredible itineraries will pique the interests of curious travellers who want to explore the world in elegant comfort with the chance to enjoy more time ashore and experience destinations in depth.”
Around the World voyages span six months
The two 180-day sailings will showcase destinations across Asia, the Pacific, Europe and the Americas, with a strong focus on immersive travel and extended port stays.
Around the World 2028
Departing Miami on 18 January 2028, the first global voyage will sail through the Panama Canal before exploring:
- Hawaii and French Polynesia
- Australia, including an overnight stay in Sydney
- Southeast Asia and Japan
- India and the Arabian Peninsula
- Mediterranean destinations including Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal
The journey concludes in New York following a transatlantic crossing.
Guests will also be invited to attend Oceania Aurelia’s official christening ceremony in Miami before departure.
Around the World 2029
The second world cruise departs Los Angeles on 6 January 2029, tracing the Pacific coast of the Americas before crossing into the South Pacific and Asia.
Highlights include:
- Easter Island
- French Polynesia
- Australia and New Zealand
- Southeast Asia and the Maldives
- Mediterranean and British Isles exploration
The itinerary also includes opportunities for overland tours to Machu Picchu, Petra and the Taj Mahal.
Luxury ship designed for extended voyages
Hosting fewer than 500 guests and supported by 400 crew, Oceania Aurelia is being positioned as an intimate, residential-style vessel tailored for long-duration cruising.
The itineraries feature numerous overnight stays in ports including:
- Bora Bora
- Sydney
- Tokyo
- Singapore
- Mumbai
- Bordeaux
Across both voyages, guests will have access to nearly 100 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Grand Voyages expand deployment
Alongside the world cruises, Oceania Cruises has also unveiled two Grand Voyages exceeding 70 days in length.
These include:
- Grand Nordic & Baltic Discovery – a 78-day sailing from New York to Boston
- Grand South America Adventure – a 71-day voyage from Miami to Los Angeles, including Antarctic Peninsula cruising
Inaugural European season announced
Before commencing its world cruise program, Oceania Aurelia will debut with a series of Mediterranean sailings from November 2027.
The inaugural seven-day voyage sails from Rome to Trieste, followed by a special Oceania Club Reunion Cruise hosted by senior executives.
Additional festive and transatlantic itineraries round out the ship’s inaugural season.
Loyalty benefits enhanced for world cruisers
Guests booking either Around the World voyage will automatically receive Oceania Club Gold status, while returning guests will advance to Platinum or higher, unlocking elevated onboard benefits from embarkation.
