Princess Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska season, unveiling its most comprehensive program yet with 185 departures across 14 itineraries aboard eight ships, including the new Star Princess. The season combines glacier-rich voyages with immersive cruisetours and exclusive stays at Princess Wilderness Lodges.
Having sailed to Alaska since 1969, Princess continues to build on nearly 60 years of experience in the region, offering cruise and land holidays that extend beyond the coastline into some of Alaska’s most celebrated national parks.
Jim Berra, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer, said the program delivered a complete Alaska experience.
“Alaska is one of the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations, and Princess has spent nearly 60 years helping guests experience it in a way few others can,” Berra said.
Glacier-rich voyages and iconic destinations
The 2028 program features sailings ranging from four to 16 days, departing from Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage (Whittier), San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Guests will visit 16 destinations, including Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, while enjoying scenic cruising through Glacier Bay National Park, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, and Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier. The season includes 86 visits to Glacier Bay National Park, alongside extended “More Ashore” port calls that provide additional time to explore local culture, wildlife and outdoor adventures.
Princess’ signature Voyage of the Glaciers itineraries will once again sail between Anchorage (Whittier) and Vancouver, while a range of roundtrip Inside Passage cruises will depart from convenient West Coast homeports.
Cruisetours venture beyond the coastline
Guests wanting to explore further inland can combine their cruise with Princess’ award-winning cruisetours, featuring stays at Princess-owned wilderness lodges near Denali, Kenai Fjords and Wrangell-St. Elias national parks.
The program also includes exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail journeys aboard custom glass-domed railcars, three cruisetour collections, and the opportunity to visit up to four national parks on selected itineraries. Onboard, Princess’ North to Alaska program offers destination-inspired dining, cultural presentations and entertainment, while Local Connections shore excursions include whale watching, glacier landings, wildlife cruises and historic rail journeys.
