Princess Cruises is bringing a taste of Alaska to Australian travel advisors with a national axe-throwing roadshow designed to celebrate the launch of its 2028 Alaska cruise season.
Inspired by the lumberjack culture and axe-throwing experiences found in Ketchikan, the events will combine destination updates, food and drinks, friendly competition and information on a new Alaska famil incentive.
Agents can win a place on an Alaska famil
Princess Cruises has partnered with EVA Air and Washington State Tourism to offer 10 travel advisors the opportunity to join an Alaska famil in May 2027.
The prize includes return flights, accommodation in Seattle and a seven-night cruise aboard Star Princess.
To enter, advisors must book an eligible Princess Alaska cruise between 16 August and 12 October 2026 and, in 25 words or less, explain what excites them most about cruising Alaska with Princess.
Princess Cruises Senior Director Sales & Marketing Nick Ferguson said the campaign was designed to showcase one of the cruise line’s signature destinations.
“For nearly 60 years, Princess has been helping guests experience the very best of Alaska, making it a destination that’s truly part of our DNA,” Ferguson said.
“We know the best advocates are those who’ve experienced the destination firsthand, and we’re excited to help more agents discover why a Princess Alaska cruise is one of the world’s most unforgettable holiday experiences.”
National roadshow heads across Australia
The Alaska-themed events will be held in five Australian cities during the final week of August:
- Brisbane – 25 August at Maniax Brisbane CBD
- Adelaide – 25 August at Project Break, Dry Creek
- Sydney – 26 August at Maniax Marrickville
- Perth – 26 August at Maniax Northbridge
- Melbourne – 27 August at Maniax Melbourne CBD
Travel advisors interested in attending are encouraged to register through their Princess Cruises Business Development Manager, with places limited.
