Silversea’s Silver Cloud has departed Fremantle on the Grand South Pacific Expedition 2026, a 77-day voyage calling at 57 destinations across 11 countries before arriving in Valparaiso, Chile, on 4 November 2026. The departure also closes out Silversea’s 2026 Kimberley expedition season.
The voyage traces Australia’s Kimberley coast before continuing through Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Pitcairn Island, Easter Island and Chile.
Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, said the voyage reflected the line’s focus on extended, immersive itineraries. “Our Grand Voyages are the fullest expression of what makes Silversea the leader in destination immersion – the rare luxury of time, paired with unmatched access to the most remote corners of the world,” Hernandez said.
Four legs trace a path across the South Pacific
The voyage opens along Western Australia’s coast at the Abrolhos Islands, Cape Peron and the Montebello Islands, before entering the Kimberley to call at Adele Island, the Buccaneer Archipelago and King George River, concluding in Darwin.
From Darwin, the ship calls at 21 destinations across six countries, including Raja Ampat and Cenderawasih Bay in Indonesia, Rabaul in Papua New Guinea, and Ambrym Island in Vanuatu, arriving in Lautoka, Fiji.
The third leg runs from Lautoka to Papeete, Tahiti, taking in Taveuni in Fiji, the Vava’u Group in Tonga, Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands, and Bora Bora and Rangiroa in French Polynesia.
The final leg spans 12 destinations across three countries, including the Marquesas Islands, Mangareva, Pitcairn Island, Easter Island and Robinson Crusoe Island, before concluding in Valparaiso.
Exclusive shore events in the Northern Territory and Easter Island
Guests will take part in two bespoke events during the voyage. On 6 September, guests visited Finniss River Lodge, a 50,000-acre cattle station near Darwin, for a four-wheel-drive tour, a helicopter flight over the surrounding wetlands and a regional lunch. On 26 October, guests will attend an afternoon at Toki Rapa Nui cultural centre on Easter Island, including a concert by pianist Mahani Teave, a visit to the moai at Tahai and a traditional hoko dance performance.
Kimberley season wrap
The departure also marks the end of Silversea’s 2026 Kimberley season, which comprised 10 voyages between 8 May and 6 September, calling at 25 destinations. Wildlife sightings through the season included saltwater crocodiles and snubfin dolphins along the Hunter River, and seabirds, tiger sharks and bottlenose dolphins at Ashmore Reef. Raft Point returned to the itinerary after an extended absence.
Upcoming Grand Voyages
Silversea’s next Grand Voyage, Grand Mediterranean 2026, is a 50-day sailing from Lisbon to Piraeus aboard Silver Spirit. Further Grand Voyages are planned for 2027 and 2028, including a return Mediterranean sailing aboard Silver Dawn, a South America voyage aboard Silver Ray and an Asia voyage aboard Silver Muse.
