Sold-out CLIA LIVE brings cruise training to Sydney

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has brought its popular CLIA LIVE training series to Sydney, with the latest event selling out as travel advisors gathered for two days of cruise-focused education and networking.

Sydney hosts latest CLIA LIVE event

Held across Tuesday and Wednesday, the Sydney edition welcomed representatives from 28 cruise lines, delivering product updates, sales insights and brand training to travel advisors from across the market.

The event marked the sixth stop in CLIA’s 2026 in-person seminar series, following successful events in Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

Strong demand for cruise education

CLIA Director of Membership & Events in Australasia Marita Nosic said the Sydney program was fully subscribed, continuing the strong demand seen across the national series.

“CLIA LIVE always sells out quickly, it’s a rare opportunity to learn from multiple cruise lines back-to-back,” Nosic said.

“This year has brought more cruise lines into the program, including several brands that are taking part for the first time, which means agents gain an even broader view of the opportunities in cruising.”

Supporting advisor confidence and sales

The CLIA LIVE series is designed to equip agents with practical product knowledge and a stronger understanding of each cruise brand’s positioning, helping advisors better match clients with suitable cruise experiences.

Around 800 CLIA-member travel advisors are expected to participate in this year’s program, reinforcing its role as one of the organisation’s most popular educational initiatives.

National program continues

Following Sydney, CLIA LIVE will continue to Auckland and the Gold Coast, extending the program’s reach across Australia and New Zealand.

The initiative reflects ongoing investment in travel advisor education as cruise demand continues to strengthen across the region.
