Viking, in partnership with the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), has hosted an exclusive after-hours event at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art, offering invited guests private access to Olafur Eliasson: Presence.
Held on 25 February, the intimate evening delivered a ‘money-can’t-buy’ experience created through the Viking–QAGOMA partnership, bringing together art, culture and cuisine in a curated setting.
Private curator-led access
Viking guests and travel advisors were welcomed into the gallery after hours for a private tour of the exhibition, led by QAGOMA’s Lead Curator Geraldine Kirrihi Barlow.
The tour offered insight into Eliasson’s immersive, multi-sensory works, which explore perception, nature and shared human experience.
Art meets dining
Following the exhibition experience, guests enjoyed a bespoke three-course dinner within GOMA, curated and introduced by the gallery’s Executive Chef. Premium beverages were paired with the menu to complement the creative theme of the evening.
The event forms part of Viking’s broader partnership with QAGOMA, which commenced on 6 December 2025 in support of Olafur Eliasson: Presence.
The collaboration brings together Viking’s focus on experiential travel and QAGOMA’s role as one of Australia’s leading cultural institutions, united by shared values of creativity, curiosity and lifelong learning.
