Zuiderdam next in Holland America Evolution

Holland America Line has confirmed Zuiderdam will be the next ship to undergo its Holland America Evolution transformation, bringing new accommodation categories, refreshed public spaces and signature Pinnacle Class experiences to the Vista-class vessel.

Major upgrades planned

Zuiderdam is the second of six ships to be included in the Evolution program, which forms part of the cruise line’s largest fleet enhancement in its 153-year history.

The refurbishment will introduce a reimagined Pinnacle Suite, two new Bridgeview Suites, 14 Vista Suites and 32 Solo Verandah staterooms, while accommodation across the ship will also be refreshed.

The popular Grand Dutch Café will also debut on Zuiderdam, becoming the largest version of the venue introduced as part of the Evolution program.

Holland America Line President Beth Bodensteiner said demand for the new accommodation categories on Oosterdam had prompted their expansion to Zuiderdam.

“We’ve seen strong interest in our Bridgeview Suites and Solo Verandahs on Oosterdam, and we’re excited to make these new accommodations available on Zuiderdam,” Bodensteiner said.

Bookings for Zuiderdam’s first post-refurbishment voyages open on 30 July, with the ship scheduled to operate in Europe before returning to Australia and New Zealand itineraries.
