Azamara Cruises is pressing ahead with its fleetwide Azamara Forward refurbishment program, confirming Azamara Onward will undergo a two-week dry dock in early November 2027.
The upgrade marks the next phase of the line’s most extensive renovation initiative to date, aimed at enhancing onboard experiences while preserving the intimate, small-ship atmosphere Azamara is known for.
New venues and refreshed spaces onboard

The Azamara Forward enhancements will introduce a suite of upgrades across Azamara Onward, including:
- Revamped nightlife venues
- Newly dedicated Chef’s Table dining experience
- Reimagined Discoveries Restaurant
- Redesigned Atlas Bar
- Full transformation of The Cabaret Lounge
- Refreshed staterooms, suites and public spaces
These changes are designed to elevate comfort and personalisation while maintaining Azamara’s signature destination-focused cruising style.
Relaunch voyages for Azamara Onward make Mediterranean debut

Azamara Onward will return to service on 25 November 2027 with a seven-night Italy Intensive voyage from Athens to Rome. Bookings open on 7 April 2026.
Following its relaunch, the ship will continue operating in the Mediterranean before repositioning to the Caribbean later in the season.
Broader fleet transformation underway

The Azamara Forward program first debuted on Azamara Quest and will eventually extend across the fleet, with timelines for upgrades to Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit yet to be announced.
The initiative signals a new chapter for the small ship cruise line, with a focus on elevated comfort, personalised service and deeper destination immersion, which remains a core pillar of the Azamara brand.
