Pearl Expeditions has released its 2027 and 2028 calendar of expeditions aboard the 30-guest Paspaley Pearl, expanding its program beyond its Kimberley heartland into Raja Ampat, Borneo, Papua New Guinea and eastern Indonesia.
The vessel spends around six months each year in the Kimberley during the region’s dry season, offering seven- and 10-night itineraries between Broome and Wyndham. Selected Kimberley departures include exclusive Paspaley experiences such as a visit to the remote Kuri Bay pearl farm, an invitation to board a Paspaley pearling vessel to see oyster seeding and cultivation, and flightseeing aboard Paspaley’s vintage flying boats.
New itineraries reach Raja Ampat and Borneo
Raja Ampat: Nature’s Richest Realm is an 11-night itinerary connecting Darwin with Sorong via charter flight, available on 2028 sailings, taking in the Kei Islands, Kitikiti Waterfall and five days in Raja Ampat.
Borneo and Beyond: Indonesia’s Big Three runs 11 nights round trip from Bali, covering Camp Leakey and Tanjung Puting National Park for orangutan viewing, Saleh Bay for whale shark encounters and Komodo National Park for Komodo dragon sightings.
Papua New Guinea: Circumnavigation of New Britain and Papua New Guinea: Sepik Traditions both run 11 nights from Cairns via charter flight to Madang, exploring remote village communities and traditional culture along the Sepik River and around New Britain.
Arnhem Land: Where Ancient Knowledge Meets Living Culture is a seven-night itinerary from Darwin to Yirrkala (Gove), developed in partnership with traditional owners and tracing waters travelled by the Yolŋu people.
Torres Strait & GBR: Islands, Reefs & Traditions is a seven-night itinerary between Thursday Island and Cairns, taking in the Torres Strait Islands, Cape York and the Outer Barrier Reef.
Fares from AU$9,495 per person
2027 fares range from AU$9,495 per person for the five-night Rowley Shoals Expedition in an Ocean Double Stateroom, up to AU$38,495 per person for the 12-night Raja Ampat itinerary in a Pearl Suite. All fares are per person, twin share, and include 10 per cent GST on Kimberley, Rowley Shoals, Arnhem Land and Torres Strait sailings, with charter flights included in pricing where applicable. Sole occupancy of the Ocean Double Stateroom carries no single supplement.
