Princess Cruises has announced its 2027–28 Australian summer program, confirming three ships — Royal Princess, Grand Princess and Sapphire Princess — will be based in the region and offering more than 80 departures across 63 itineraries. The line will operate from multiple homeports including Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle, Auckland, with additional sailings from Melbourne and Adelaide.
Highlights for the Australian market
A key feature of the program is the return of Sapphire Princess to Western Australia, homeporting in Fremantle for the 2027–28 season. Princess remains the only large premium cruise line to both return to WA and base a ship there. Travellers can expect a diverse selection of roundtrip itineraries from Fremantle, including short coastal breaks, voyages to the Coral Coast and Indonesia, extended Kimberley sailings and overnight stays in Broome.
Grand Princess will also debut an enhanced 94-day Circle Pacific itinerary, visiting 44 destinations across 13 countries — an expansion of 14 nights and 12 ports compared with the 2027 voyage. The journey will take guests to French Polynesia, Fiji, Hawaii, Alaska, Vietnam and Japan, with overnight calls in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bali (Benoa), and opportunities to explore several UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Across the season, the trio of Princess ships will offer sailings to Aotearoa New Zealand, full circumnavigations of Australia and South Pacific escapes to Fiji and Vanuatu.

Princess Cruises Vice President Asia Pacific Matthew Rutherford said the 2027–28 season demonstrates the brand’s ongoing investment in the region. With departures ranging from three-day getaways to voyages of up to 43 days, the program caters to families, seasoned cruisers and international guests from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.
Key dates for agents and guests
Full itineraries and pricing for Sapphire Princess will be released on 12 November 2025. Bookings open to Princess loyalty guests on 19 November, ahead of general release on 26 November.
An early booking offer for the Circle Pacific voyage includes up to AUD 2,000 in instant savings per stateroom for past guests, plus up to AUD 2,000 onboard credit per stateroom for the general public, valid until 28 February 2026.
