Regent unveils culinary experiences aboard Seven Seas Prestige

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has revealed an extensive culinary enrichment program for its newest ship, Seven Seas Prestige, featuring 64 Culinary Arts Kitchen classes and 25 Epicurean Explorer Tours designed to connect guests with destinations through food, culture and storytelling.

The ultra-luxury cruise line’s first new ship class in a decade will offer intimate culinary experiences for no more than 18 guests at a time, with programs available across voyages through to March 2029.

Culinary learning takes centre stage

Developed by executive chef and director of culinary enrichment Kathryn Kelly, the Culinary Arts Kitchen will debut aboard Seven Seas Prestige as a professional-grade teaching facility equipped with 18 individual cooking stations and floor-to-ceiling ocean views.

The two-hour classes, priced from US$129 per guest, will cover a broad range of global cuisines and cooking techniques, from knife skills to regional specialties.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises President Wesley D’Silva said the popularity of culinary travel continues to grow among luxury travellers.

“The popularity of discovering destinations through food is undeniable; this is why we have placed a strong emphasis on epicurean enrichment on board Seven Seas Prestige,” D’Silva said.

Classes inspired by global flavours

Among the featured classes is Cocina Latina, exploring the diverse culinary traditions of Latin America, from Mexico through to Patagonia.

Australia Through the Ages examines the evolution of Australian cuisine, beginning with Indigenous ingredients such as macadamia nuts and tracing the influence of British, Chinese and European migration on contemporary Australian food culture.

Journey Across the Mediterranean offers guests the opportunity to prepare signature dishes inspired by France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Spain and Turkey while learning about the wines and culinary traditions of the region.

Culinary adventures extend ashore

The Epicurean Explorer Tours allow guests to experience local food culture through chef-led excursions in destinations around the world.

Highlights include a market and tapas tour in Bilbao, where guests will explore Mercado de la Ribera and sample traditional Basque pintxos paired with local txakoli wine.

In Barcelona, guests can discover the city’s celebrated food scene through visits to La Boqueria and Santa Caterina markets before enjoying a traditional tapas lunch and cava tasting.

Meanwhile, in Palma de Mallorca, travellers will visit the bustling Olivar Market before touring a family-owned olive farm and participating in an onboard olive oil tasting and cooking session.

Tour prices start from US$159 per guest and include guided experiences both ashore and onboard.

Prestige raises the bar for ultra-luxury cruising

Scheduled to enter service in December 2026, Seven Seas Prestige will accommodate just 822 guests across 411 all-balcony suites while offering one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the cruise industry.

The 77,000-tonne vessel will feature 11 dining experiences, including the new Mediterranean-inspired Azure restaurant, alongside Regent favourites such as Prime 7, Pacific Rim and Chartreuse.

The ship’s inaugural season will include 13 voyages across the Caribbean and Europe, with itineraries featuring up to 97 included shore excursions and calls to destinations including St Lucia, Cartagena and Bordeaux.
