Holland America Line recently hosted a group of Australian and New Zealand trade representatives on an Alaska familiarisation, combining the line’s Denali and Yukon Cruisetour with a cruise aboard Koningsdam through Glacier Bay and the Inside Passage.
The famil was hosted by sales manager Belinda Clark and key account manager Erin King, and gave attendees direct experience of the land-based Cruisetour program alongside onboard offerings.
Land program covers Denali, Fairbanks and the Yukon
The land portion took the group from Anchorage and Denali through Fairbanks and Dawson before continuing to Skagway. Activities included the McKinley Explorer rail journey, a narrated Tundra Wilderness Tour through Denali National Park, the Riverboat Discovery Tour in Fairbanks, and a stop at the Sourdough Saloon in Dawson.
Belinda Clark said the itinerary suited clients wanting a fuller Alaska experience beyond the ship.
“Of all the Cruise Tours we have available, if you have clients wanting to really see Alaska, with the wildlife and those smaller more unique towns, then the Denali & Yukon really is the way to go,” Clark said.
Cruise component sails Glacier Bay and the Inside Passage
The group then boarded Koningsdam for the cruise leg to Vancouver, taking in scenic cruising through Glacier Bay and the Inside Passage, with a call at Ketchikan and Holland America’s dining and entertainment program.
Brand update strengthens trade relationships
A dedicated brand update was held onboard to share current products and information with the visiting advisors, part of Holland America’s ongoing engagement with its Australian and New Zealand trade partners. The line has operated in Alaska for more than 75 years.
