MSC Cruises has introduced its first combination voyage designed specifically for Australian and New Zealand travellers, joining two consecutive itineraries into a single 14-night sailing aboard MSC Meraviglia. It marks the start of a broader program the line plans to build out for the local market.
The sailing runs round trip from Southampton, linking the Atlantic coast of France, Spain and Portugal with Norway’s fjords and Scandinavia. Guests stay aboard the same ship throughout, avoiding a hotel change or airport transfer between legs.
Four 2027 departures are on sale from 20 August 2026: 29 May, 12 June, 10 July and 4 September. Fares start from AU$3,519 per person for an inside cabin or AU$4,919 per person for a balcony cabin, as part of MSC’s Best Holiday Ever promotion.
Built on MSC’s European scale
MSC operates 14 ships across Europe, with eight based there year-round. That footprint is what allows the line to combine itineraries across regions including the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, the Adriatic, the Greek Islands, the Canary Islands, the Atlantic coast, the Baltic and the Norwegian fjords. MSC said further combinations for the Australian and New Zealand market are planned.
Katrina McAlpine, managing director Australia and New Zealand for the MSC Group Cruise Division, said the format reflected growing demand for longer European holidays built around a single flight.
“We’re increasingly seeing our guests and travel partners look at back-to-back cruises as a way of creating a bigger European holiday, and with the scale of MSC Cruises in Europe, we have an incredible opportunity to make that much easier,” McAlpine said.

Bookings for the four 2027 departures are open now through travel agents and MSC Cruises Australia. Guests can book MSC’s shore excursion program at each port of call across both legs of the combined itinerary.
