National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has released its complete 2027–28 global deployment, featuring a fresh wave of journeys that invite guests to rediscover the world from a new perspective. The collection spans all seven continents, blending cutting-edge exploration with immersive cultural encounters, rare natural events, and voyages to some of the planet’s most remote destinations.
Building on the legacy of Lindblad Expeditions’ pioneering spirit and National Geographic’s storytelling expertise, the new itineraries are designed to connect curious travellers with awe-inspiring landscapes, wildlife, and communities, all while travelling aboard an exceptional fleet of small expedition ships.
Rare eclipse viewing, Arctic adventures and Mediterranean gems
Among the season’s highlights is the opportunity to witness the total solar eclipse of August 2027 from the Strait of Gibraltar. Aboard the Azores to Barcelona: A Special Solar Eclipse Voyage, guests can view this celestial event at sea in the company of expert naturalists and a National Geographic photographer.
The Arctic also takes centre stage, with expanded offerings in Svalbard during both spring and summer. New itineraries include Baffin Island: Exploring Canada’s Wild Arctic Frontier and the return of the Fabled Lands of the North: Greenland to Newfoundland voyage – both providing opportunities to spot polar bears in the wild and marvel at untouched ice-scapes under luminous northern light.
In Europe, a suite of new and returning sailings on the National Geographic Orion, National Geographic Endurance and the elegant Sea Cloud II offer deeper exploration of coastal cultures. Options include Continental Crossroads: Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands, Portugal and Morocco: Atlantic Horizons, and Wonders of Western Europe – along with a Mediterranean sailing from Malta to Greece aboard the three-masted Sea Cloud II.
Returning favourites in Patagonia and the South Pacific
Popular longer itineraries are also making a comeback, including the 17-day Exploring Patagonia’s National Parks from Punta Arenas to Puerto Montt, which showcases the region’s glaciers, fjords, and wildlife-rich forests. Also returning is the Fiji and Tahiti Adventure: Vibrant Reefs and Cultural History, where guests discover vibrant island cultures and pristine marine ecosystems in the South Pacific.
