Princess revamps Academy rewards

Princess Cruises has refreshed its Princess Academy training platform, unveiling a new four-tier ranking system alongside a major “Earn Your Stripes & Win” incentive campaign for travel advisors.

New Academy structure launched

The updated Princess Academy now features 25 learning modules, including 12 compulsory courses, 12 elective modules and a final assessment designed to deepen advisor product knowledge and sales expertise.

Training covers:

  • Princess Cruises destinations
  • Fare options and sales tools
  • MedallionClass technology
  • Sanctuary Collection
  • Regional training across Alaska, Japan, Europe, Asia and Australia & New Zealand

Elective modules also focus on specialist segments including families, first-time cruisers, South America & Antarctica and Land & Sea Holidays.

Four-tier recognition program introduced

Travel advisors completing the training progress through four recognition levels:

  • First Officer
  • Staff Captain
  • Captain
  • Commodore

Agents reaching Commodore status become eligible for Graduation Cruises and ongoing Elite-style benefits when annual requirements are met.

Princess Cruises said the refreshed structure is designed to strengthen advisor confidence and improve destination expertise.

“Earn Your Stripes & Win” campaign unveiled

To celebrate the relaunch, Princess Cruises has launched a new incentive campaign running until 15 August 2026.

Agents who complete an Academy rank during the promotional period will go into the draw to win a range of prizes.

Major prizes

Commodore-level agents can win:

  • One of five balcony stateroom cruises for two aboard Crown Princess
  • Princess Plus package included
  • Brisbane-to-Sydney sailing departing 2 November 2026

Additional prizes

Agents achieving First Officer, Staff Captain, Captain or Commodore status can also win:

To enter, advisors must complete their training and submit a 25-word response outlining how they will use their Princess Academy knowledge to support clients and grow sales.

Trade engagement remains a key focus

The updated Academy reflects Princess Cruises’ continued investment in advisor education and trade engagement as competition intensifies across the cruise sector.

The training platform and incentive structure aim to strengthen long-term advisor advocacy while supporting higher conversion and customer confidence.
