Silversea has launched a new collection of S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) Culinary Voyages, offering guests immersive food and wine experiences that showcase the culinary traditions of Europe’s most celebrated regions.
The inaugural collection features seven voyages aboard Silver Dawn and Silver Spirit, timed to coincide with Europe’s autumn grape harvest across Portugal, Spain, France and the United Kingdom.
Cuisine takes centre stage
Built around the themes of Gather, Craft, Celebrate and Indulge, the new itineraries combine destination-focused dining onboard with exclusive culinary experiences ashore.
Guests can enjoy chef-led dinners, premium wine, Champagne and Cognac tastings, mixology masterclasses, seafood cooking demonstrations and harvest-inspired events throughout each voyage.
Silversea President Bert Hernandez said the collection was designed to provide access to experiences beyond the reach of most independent travellers.
“With our new collection of dedicated S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages, we’re building on our position as the small-ship leader in culinary variety to give guests direct access to the people and places that define a region’s food culture,” he said.
Exclusive experiences ashore
The itineraries feature a range of exclusive S.A.L.T. shore experiences, including blending port wine with an oenologist in Portugal’s Douro Valley, a private Michelin-chef lunch at Château du Prince Noir in Bordeaux, a traditional truffle hunt in France, cooking with local chefs in Normandy and northern Portugal, and visits to renowned wineries across the region.
Each experience has been designed to connect travellers with local producers, traditions and seasonal ingredients.
Timed to Europe’s grape harvest
The seven voyages sail between late August and October 2026, following Europe’s harvest season with extended stays in renowned wine regions including Bordeaux, the Douro Valley and northern Spain.
The collection marks the first chapter in Silversea’s new S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages program, with additional themed itineraries expected to follow.
