Viking has renewed its partnership with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra for a third consecutive year, continuing the cruise line’s support of the period-instrument ensemble’s national season.
Premium access for guests and travel advisors
In 2026, the collaboration will again deliver cultural perks for Viking guests and travel advisors, including premium A-Reserve tickets across multiple performances, social media giveaways, and invitations to VIP interval or post-concert events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Viking also flagged additional opportunities tied to the partnership, including access to select dress rehearsals and invitations to the orchestra’s Spring Dinner at NSW Government House.
Leaders say shared focus is on cultural enrichment
Australian Brandenburg Orchestra managing director and co-founder Bruce Applebaum said the partnership supports the orchestra’s ambitions for what is described as a “landmark season”.
Viking ANZ managing director Michelle Black said the collaboration aligns with Viking’s focus on culturally immersive experiences, giving guests and travel partners new ways to engage with live performance.
2026 season opens with Baroque Masters
The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s 2026 season opens with Baroque Masters, a program celebrating Bach, Handel and Vivaldi, with performances from 12 February at Melbourne Recital Centre and 18 February at City Recital Hall in Sydney.
The season continues with Choral Splendour, Italian Serenatas, Vivaldi’s Legacy, Mozart, Salieri & Pleyel, and the festive Noël! Noël! series.
