Western Australia has been nominated for Oceania’s Best Cruise Destination 2026 at the World Cruise Awards, recognising the state’s growing reputation as a leading cruise destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
The nomination highlights Western Australia’s expanding cruise offering, with visitors able to experience everything from vibrant city attractions in Perth to the state’s renowned coastal landscapes and regional destinations.
Voting opens this month
Voting for the World Cruise Awards opens on 13 July and closes on 21 August 2026, with both cruise industry professionals and consumers invited to cast their votes.
The annual awards celebrate excellence across the global cruise sector, recognising destinations, ports, cruise lines and tourism operators.
Recognition for a growing cruise destination
The nomination reflects Western Australia’s continued growth as a cruise destination, with an increasing number of international and domestic cruise ships incorporating the state into their itineraries.
Cruise visitors have access to a diverse range of experiences, including UNESCO World Heritage-listed attractions, world-class beaches, unique wildlife encounters and premium food and wine experiences.
Winners of the 2026 World Cruise Awards will be announced during the official gala ceremony in Jamaica this October.
