Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has unveiled its 2027–2028 season, introducing a series of new itineraries across its luxury and expedition fleet, including a first-ever winter season in the Indian Ocean, expanded Asia sailings and a unique Great Lakes voyage.
Luxury fleet heads to new destinations
The 2027–2028 program features new voyages for luxury ships EUROPA and EUROPA 2, with more than 500 ports of call across the fleet during the season.
EUROPA will debut a 29-day voyage from Valparaiso to San Francisco in February 2027, visiting eight countries across South, Central and North America. In 2028, the ship will also undertake its first in-depth exploration of the Philippines, with 13 calls across 10 ports, including a maiden visit to Mantigue Island.
Meanwhile, EUROPA 2 will introduce a new South Pacific itinerary, calling at Papua New Guinea and Palau for the first time, alongside a new voyage exploring Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline.
Expedition fleet expands exploration
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is also adding several new expedition itineraries across its HANSEATIC fleet.
HANSEATIC nature will spend its first winter season in the Indian Ocean, visiting Madagascar, Mauritius and the Seychelles, while three new Antarctic voyages in early 2028 will focus exclusively on South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula.
HANSEATIC inspiration will become the only cruise ship to combine all five Great Lakes with the St Lawrence River on a single voyage, linking cities including Toronto, Montréal and Québec with smaller regional ports.
In Australia, HANSEATIC spirit will debut a new expedition through Western Australia’s Kimberley region in May 2028, showcasing remote coastlines, waterfalls, Indigenous rock art and native wildlife.
