Hurtigruten is encouraging Australians to explore Norway with company, launching a new “Take a mate for 50% off” promotion across selected 2026 and 2027 sailings.
Available until 19 July 2026, the offer provides 50 per cent off the second guest on selected Original and Signature Voyages, alongside a low deposit of $250 per person, making it easier for travellers to secure a future Nordic adventure.
The campaign is designed to appeal to couples, friends and family members looking to experience Norway’s dramatic coastline, Arctic landscapes and Northern Lights together.
Savings available on iconic Coastal Express
The promotion applies to Hurtigruten’s flagship Coastal Express itinerary, a 12-day roundtrip voyage between Bergen and Kirkenes.
Often referred to as “The World’s Most Beautiful Voyage”, the itinerary visits 34 ports while showcasing Norway’s fjords, fishing villages and remote northern landscapes.
Lead-in fares start from $3,830 per person for the full-paying guest, with the second traveller receiving a 50 per cent discount. The offer is available on selected departures between September 2026 and December 2027.
The cruise fare includes daily lectures and all main meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Signature voyages also included
The promotion also extends to selected departures of Hurtigruten’s premium North Cape Line.
The 15-day roundtrip voyage from Oslo includes more time in port, locally inspired cuisine and opportunities to experience the Northern Lights during winter sailings.
Lead-in fares start from $6,129 per person for the first guest, with the second guest eligible for a 50 per cent saving.
The sailing is also covered by Hurtigruten’s Northern Lights Promise and includes a range of beverages, lectures, afternoon tea and all main meals.
Low deposit offer extended on Northern Lights itinerary
In addition to the companion offer, Hurtigruten is continuing its low-deposit promotion on the 17-day Follow the Northern Lights itinerary.
The land-and-sea journey combines Norway and Finland, travelling from Oslo to Helsinki and featuring experiences including the Flåm Railway, Arctic Circle cruising, reindeer and husky safaris, and an overnight stay in a glass igloo.
Lead-in fares start from $9,170 per person, with travellers able to secure their booking with a reduced $250 deposit until 31 July 2026.
Hurtigruten said the latest offers provide more opportunities for travellers to experience Norway’s coastline and Arctic wilderness while sharing the journey with friends and family.
